Milwaukee (OnFocus) – As reported by multiple sources, including Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News, the New York Mets were denied permission to talk with Milwaukee Brewers’ General Manager David Stearns about becoming the Mets’ head of baseball operations.
The Mets also struck out in their search when Billy Beane, the Oakland A’s executive VP of baseball operations, withdrew his name from consideration.
