NFHS Signs New Corporate Partnership with United States Marine Corp

The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) has agreed to a new corporate partnership with the United States Marine Corps (USMC), aiming to enhance leadership qualities among high school coaches and administrators.

Originally formed during the Revolutionary War, the United States Marine Corps has been a service branch of the United States Armed Forces for nearly 250 years specializing in amphibious and expeditionary warfare. Including the estimated 184,000 currently in active-duty service, the men and women of the United States Marines have been engaged in every major military campaign in American history.

“We are thrilled to join together with the United States Marine Corps for this new partnership,” said Dr. Karissa Niehoff, CEO of the NFHS. “As we strive to develop dynamic leaders within the ranks of our high school coaches, athletic administrators and student-athletes, it only makes sense for the NFHS to collaborate with an institution that has cultivated some of the greatest leaders our country has ever known.”

The USMC will be designated as a “National Partner” of the NFHS and will receive promotional opportunities across several NFHS outlets as part of the partnership agreement. The major campaign theme for the partnership will feature social media posts and other programming for both athletic directors and coaches that focuses on “Developing Coaches as Leaders.” Coaches and administrators will also be offered opportunities to work with United States Marines command team advisors (CTA) to join the United States Marine Corps Influencer Program (ECCI), a program designed to provide support and resources for our nations administrators, coaches, and educators.

“The United States Marine Corps is proud to partner with the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) and their community of coaches, educators, and administrators,” says Lt. Colonel Thomas Dolan. “We are honored to extend our support to educators who help their programs and students win battles every day. We look forward to forming invaluable relationships through our continued partnership with the NFHS community.”
