A new study has revealed the most loved NFL players on X (formerly Twitter), and it’s good news for Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, who fans believe should be crowned the MVP this season.
The research from FlashPicks, a betting picks, parlays, predictions, and news brand, analyzed the top 100 most popular NFL players’ official X accounts and calculated the number of positive tweets sent to them by fans from the start of the season until now.
Among the most popular lovable tweets sent by fans include the words ‘MVP’, ‘GOAT’, ‘legend’, ‘great’, and ‘amazing’.
The study revealed that the most loved NFL player on X is Lamar Jackson, with a score of 10 out of 10.
A whopping 2,037 tweets have been posted by social media users praising the Baltimore Ravens star this season.
Jackson is currently the second favorite to be crowned this season’s MVP at +185 odds, behind Buffalo’s Josh Allen at -250. However, fans on X have made their position clear naming Jackson the ‘MVP’ more than any other player, a whopping 1,224 times – 392 more times than Josh Allen.
Jackson has also been christened the ‘GOAT’ on X more than any other player in the league, a hefty 441 times.

The full study reveals that the second most loved NFL player on X is Buffalo’s Josh Allen, with a score of 8.9 out of 10. The Bills quarterback has been on the end of 1,819 complimentary tweets this season and he is currently the favorite to win the prestigious MVP award. The majority of social media users’ on X are in agreement, as Josh Allen has been named the ‘MVP’ the second highest number of times by fans this season, an impressive 832 times.
Aaron Rodgers is the third most loved NFL player on X this season, with 1,550 positive tweets sent to the California native, contributing to an overall score of 7.6 out of 10. The Jets quarterback who turned 41 last month is weighing up whether or not he’ll play in 2025. But on X NFL fans praised him for his ‘great’ plays a staggering 889 times – the most of any player in the NFL this season. Rodgers is also the third most popular player to be christened the ‘GOAT’ on X, which has been tweeted at him 262 times.
Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce is the fourth most loved player on X in the NFL this season, with a score of 6.3 out of 10. The tight end has received 1,284 compliments on X, with fans on the social media platform frequently calling the star ‘amazing’, tweeted at him 201 times already – the most of any player in the NFL.
Tyreek Hill is the fifth most loved player on X so far this season, as he achieved a score of 4.3 out of 10. The Dolphins wide receiver has received 878 positive tweets since the start of the season, with fans online frequently calling the star a ‘legend’, posted 63 times.
The Steelers’ Russell Wilson ranks in sixth, with 832 positive tweets posted in his support. Wilson is just ahead of Saquon Barkley in seventh, with 827 complimentary tweets sent to the Philadelphia Eagles running back, who has been called the ‘MVP’ 301 times on X since the start of the season and is currently the fourth favorite for the award at +5000 odds.
Joe Burrow of the Bengals ranks in eighth, with a healthy 711 positive tweets sent to the 27-year-old quarterback, who is the third favorite to win this season’s MVP award at +1600.
Patrick Mahomes ranks in ninth with 705 complimentary tweets sent to the legendary Chiefs quarterback, most notably being labelled the ‘GOAT’ 312 times this season – only second behind Lamar Jackson.
Kirk Cousins completes the top 10, achieving a score of 2.7 out of 10. The Falcons quarterback has been sent 544 complimentary tweets since the start of the season – that’s over two times the NFL average of 195 positive tweets.
