A crash occurred Friday at the intersection of State Highway 97 and Staadt Ave. at 4:42 p.m. on Friday, October 5 resulting in lane closure.
A utility/pickup truck traveling south on 97 attempted a left-hand turn onto Staadt Avenue. The driver did not see the oncoming vehicle and was struck on the passenger side, coming to rest in the ditch. Both vehicles were towed due to disabling damage and the scene was cleared at 6 p.m with no injuries reported.
Two citations were issued to the northbound driver for operating without insurance and operating after suspension. No citation was issued to the southbound driver.
