Marshfield Fire and Rescue Department issues a temporary ban on recreational fires within the city limits

MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – If you have any questions, please call the Marshfield Fire and Rescue Department at 715-486-2094, or you can monitor our Facebook page for updates.

The burning ban, including recreational fires, will remain in effect until weather conditions improve and the National Weather Service lifts the Red Flag Warning.

A temporary ban on recreational fires within the city limits of Marshfield has been issued by the Marshfield Fire and Rescue Department beginning today, Wednesday, April 12, 2023. The National Weather Service recently issued a Red Flag Warning for most of central and southern Wisconsin due to strong winds, very low relative humidity, warm temperatures, and dryness, which can create dangerous fire conditions. As a result, outdoor burning should not be attempted.
