Voting for the OnFocus Athlete of the Week for May 15 to May 21 saw voters turn out in big numbers to support the area’s top performers.
Coming away with the title as OnFocus Athlete of the Week, May 15 to May 21 was Noah Marschke of SPASH Baseball, collecting 357 votes.
Second through fourth finishers saw strong support from the area. In second place was Abby Dhein of Mosinee Girls Soccer with 323 votes.
Third place went to Mikayla Wirkus of Edgar with 275 votes and in fourth was Noah and Waylon Grimm of Pittsville with 185 votes.

OnFocus Athlete of the Week, May 15 to May 21
- Noah Marschke, SPASH Baseball – Marschke struck out 13 and no-hit D.C. Everest as the Panthers picked up a 5-0 win on Friday.
- Abby Dhein, Mosinee Girls Soccer – Mosinee defeated Lakeland on penalty kicks, with Dhein sinking the winning goal in their match this week.
- Noah Grimm / Waylon Grimm, Pittsville Baseball – Noah struck out 11 as Pittsville defeated Rosholt, 4-1. Waylon was 3 for 4, with a double, 2 singles, 4 RBI and 3 runs in Pittsville’s 19-1 thrashing of Gresham.
- Mikayla Wirkus, Edgar Softball – Wirkus led Edgar in the Wildcats’ 10-2 win over Athens. Wirkus limited the Bluejays with four hits and struck out seven, and was 4 for 4 with three runs scored.
- Matt Glodowski / Ben Lee, Amherst Baseball(nominated online) – Glodowski and Lee each connected on grand slams as Amherst completed a perfect 12-0 season in the CWC East with a 15-1 win over Wittenberg-Birnamwood, and moved to 20-0.
