Northland Pines Clears Past Three Lake in Soccer Playoffs
Pines girls win their first round of the playoffs Pines 6 Three Lakes 0

The game started fast as we had the kick off and played the ball wide and got the ball into Three lakes box early. 12 minutes into the game Freshman Eva Gaetano went left to right and played a left footed in the corner.  Although, we had pressure most of the game Three Lakes works hard and their keeper made some big saves to keep them in the game.  34 minute Ava Gaetano made a nice pass between the Defender and senior Zoe Anderson took a touch and beat attacking Three lakes keeper.  One minute later Zoe took the goal kick off her chest and ripped a shot, attack goal got her own rebound, the keeper saved that one but Zoe’s relentless attack tapped her third shot in.  The Gaetano-Anderson chemistry continues as Gaetano made a perfect pass and Zoe slammed a lefty shot in the net. Five minutes into the second half and we were able get all the players valuable varsity minutes.  Zoe would finish her night with her huge goal onslaught when freshman Forwards attacked the left flank and made a beautiful square pas to Zoe who tapped in her forth goal.  At that point we pulled all the starters as we knew we would have to recover for another tough game Saturday!  In the 52 minute Senior Emma Weber passed the ball across the front of the goal mouth to an attacking freshman Ryley Darr to end Pines score and that is how the game would end with a 6-0 victory!  Hats off to Three Lakes and a great season.  These girls work hard and do not give up.  Their keeper made a number of highlight saves!
