Northland Pines Gets GNC Win over Antigo

Antigo is a tough field to play on. First half was a struggle connecting passes and just under 13 minutes and a short corner had an Antigo player dribble left to right wind at his back kicked the ball keeper called it and our defender fucked and Ryder let and easy one float through his fingers and Pines down 1-0. This woke up the Pines boys. After about a half dozen golden opportunities foiled and 6 offsides Cody pick pocketed the d and decked the keeper for a goal 36 minutes into half. After two more missed opportunities the score stayed even 1-1 into half.
Second half we had the wind at our back and we put pressure on early less then ten minutes a streaking AJ Muench took a ball from Guilherme Amirez Fonseca putting the ball low side 2-1. Six minutes later Guilherme Amirez Fonseca made a feel on a defender and was behind their back line streaking to goal and drawing three defenders and he selfishly slid the ball across to Cody tapping it in. Tony Gaetano play a ball and and AJ Muench was shot out of a cannon with a perfect angled run across the face of the offside trap earning a pure break away and was fouled in the box. He drille definitive pk goal into the upper 90 to secure the 4-1 Victory. Hats off to Jerome and the Antigo team. They work hard and had us on the ropes early Great season by the first year Antigo head coach. Our boys battled and persevered to notch another conference victory keeping us in the hunt for the title. I am proud of their grit!
