Northland Pines Races Past Rhinelander

Report shared by Northland Pines Head Coach Rodney Sternhagen

We had a game plan and when the play 1-2 touch game this team is fun to watch!.  Three minutes in Jackson Olejniczak played a cross to Sam Schrock. We possessed well and really out the pressure on but lots of our shots were just a tad off.  We had complete control of the game and were firing often but no net music. That was until the 31 minute. When Cody played a cross and Jackson Olejniczak was attacking far post and beat the keeper to the ball and the half ended 2-0.  I remind d them what happened against Three Lakes when we had a 2-0 lead.  I really think despite the low tally of goals our first half was the better half.  The boys quickly took control of the ball in the second half and 8 minutes in Guilherme Amirez Fonseca ripped a shot that slipped of the keep and Sam Shrock cleaned up the garbage.  One minute later AJ Muench found Guilherme made a left right quick move and lazerd a goal opposite post. In the 64 minute a give and go Guilherme added another goal getting the love from Cody Vojta.  One minute left Guilherme returned a great ft to Sam Shrock for his first career hatrick.  It was an all around great game despite 10 minutes when we started holding onto the ball in which we gave up a goal and cost us the shit out.  It was very gratifying to see that all goals were assisted and as a team we care more about us scoring versus me scoring.
