Northland Pines Soccer Handles Mosinee

Varsity Pines 2 Mosinee 0

Junior Varsity Pines 4 Mosinee 0
It was a GNC battle in Mosinee.
Playing on a smaller field the girls knew we had to play the ball wide and the girls executed it time after time.  Mosinee parked the bus with 8-10 in the 18 box.  The girls kept attacking and putting the ball in the box.  Pines girls are still learning to time and stagger their runs and they found themselves over running the ball and losing a goal scoring opportunities.  That changed in the 37 minute when Ava Gaetano slotted the ball to Zoe Anderson making an angle run getting behind the defenders and drilling the ball in the back of the net. Pines 1 Mosinee zero.  The attack continues until the half buzzer and we could not find the back of the net and score remains 1-0 at half.
Second half the girls continued attacking and again Zoe Anderson made an angled run to the right flag taking three defenders with her. She made an inside cute and crossed the ball and Ava Gaetano was attacking the goal mouth heading the ball at the low right corner  in the 45 minute,Pines 2 Mosinee 0.  We moved some people around and they all executed what was asked and probably the best game of the year for these ladies.
