MARATHON COUNTY (OnFocus) Marathon County Sheriff’s Office posted a public notice on Saturday of a towing restriction through the weather event.
NOTICE OF TOWING RESTRICTIONS FOR SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 23 AND SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 24TH, 2019.
The Wisconsin State Patrol and the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office are announcing towing restrictions beginning now on February 23, 2019 and lasting until the predicted end of the weather event sometime on Sunday, February 24th, 2019 due to limited visibility and deteriorating road conditions.
Law enforcement officers will only tow vehicles that are in the roadway, on the shoulder, affecting plowing operations, or other situations deemed necessary to tow.
If a vehicle is being left to be towed at a later time, officers will obtain the telephone number of the vehicle owner and the preferred tow company.
The public will be notified when the towing restrictions are lifted.
