CENTRAL WI, WI (OnFocus) – Wisconsin’s 86th Assembly District race was between John H. Small (Democratic) and incumbent John Spiros (Republican). Spiros has represented the district since 2012. Voters selected Spiros to represent them. With 99% of the votes being reported, Spiros led with 67% of the vote: 23,329 to Small’s 11,511.
Members of the Wisconsin State Assembly serve two-year terms and are not subject to term limits. Wisconsin legislators assume office the first Monday in January following the election, unless the first Monday of January falls on January 1 or 2. In those cases, legislators assume office on January 3.
