Agnes was born on May 5, 1932 in Rozellville, to Louis Alexander and Agnes (Gemskie) Kraus. She was one of 16 children. She loved the fun times she had with her big family especially when her sisters got together for trips away. She loved to volunteer in her grandchildren’s classrooms and was known as Grandma Aggie. She also volunteered at the nursing home on West 14th Street. She loved to share her chocolate chip cookies with many. When she couldn’t make them any more her son-in-law made them for her so she could still hand them out.

She was united in marriage to Ronald Henry Rehlinger on May 30, 1952 during a double wedding ceremony with her sister Virginia and Roman Stauber at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Rozellville.

Aggie worked for over 30 years for the Marshfield School District as a library assistant. This is when she instilled the love of reading to her grandchildren. She was a longtime and faithful member of St. John’s Catholic Church and the Parish Council of Catholic Women.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Doug) Burr and Patti (Mark) Wittman, both of Marshfield and her sons, Doug (Cindy) Rehlinger of Plover, Steve (Mary) Rehlinger of Marshfield, Brian (Doreen) Rehlinger of Chippewa Falls and Ron (Laurie) Rehlinger, of Plover. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister, Marilyn (Richard) Wagner and brothers, Kenneth (Mary) Kraus and Jerald (Jean) Kraus and sisters-in-law, Irene Kraus and Margaret Kraus and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 62 years, Ronald Henry Rehlinger on March 5, 2014, a son, Randall Rehlinger in March of 2010 and a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Rehlinger, sisters, Lorraine Mancl, Margie Oertel, Laverne Fahey, Marion Jakubowski, Anita Pokallus and Virginia Stauber, brothers, Edward, Charles, LeRoy, Louis, Jr., James and Thomas Kraus.

The family would like to thank the staff of Three Oaks for the loving care of our mother.

Mom set a good example with her faith, humor and positive attitude. She was always grateful for the care she received, and the blessings bestowed upon her.

Memorials in Agnes’ honor will be designated at a later date.

Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com
