Bernice Carol Welch (90) of Marshfield, WI passed away October 18, 2022, at House of the Dove in Marshfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 24, 2022 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Marshfield where visitation will begin with a rosary at 10:00 am. The service will be streamed online at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. A private burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Marshfield. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
She was born Dec. 22, 1931, at Silver Lake, WI. to Edward and Angeline (Benter) Faber. She graduated from Marshfield High School in 1950. She married DuWayne Welch that same year at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marshfield. DuWayne passed away in 2011.
She LOVED Jesus, the Catholic church, Our Lady of Peace, family and friends. She was involved in genealogy, Lady Knights, Preservation Association, and Marshfield History Projects 1 & 2. She was a huge Green Bay Packer fan. A special memory for her was a pilgrimage to the Holy Land and Rome with DuWayne and Barbara.
Children are Ronald (Cynthia) Welch, David Welch and Barbara Welch. Grandchild Amber (Jesse) Horvath and great grandchild Caden. Bernice is further survived by one brother-Robert Faber and one sister-in-law Clara Sauer. She is predeceased by sisters Jean Claybough, Ruth Kubs, Grace Kubs, Betty Trudeau and her brother Russel Faber.
