Betty J. Pratt, 85, Marshfield, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Stoney River Assisted Living, Marshfield.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at the First Presbyterian Church, Marshfield, where the visitation will be from 9:30 am until service time. Rev. Dr. Laurie Brubaker Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Marshfield, and grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Betty was born on May 15, 1937, in Marshfield, to Lester and Rita (Burr) Wickershiem. She was a 1955 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School. She married Daniel Zink on June 9, 1956, and they later divorced. She was united in marriage to David A. Pratt on June 16, 1972, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa and they recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. David died on August 15, 2022.

Betty was employed at Hub City Foods, Northtown Foods and lastly as bookkeeper at Louie’s Refrigeration until her retirement in 1999.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was active in the Marshfield Business and Professional Women’s Club of which she was Woman of the Year in 1988, she served as treasurer from 1983 until 1985 and then served as president from 1985 until 1987. She also chaired numerous committees.

Betty was proud to be a lifelong resident of Marshfield. She loved growing roses of all varieties and giving them to others to enjoy. She was an avid Packers and Brewers fan.

She is survived by her children, Janet (Tim) Morison of Ridgeway, WI, Tom Zink of Pittsville, Lisa Zink-Gagliano of Mukwonago, WI, Lori (Ron) Engel of Fond du Lac, Brian (Shari) Zink of Marshfield, David Pratt, Jr. of Sun Prairie, WI, Sheri L. Pratt of Texas, Barbara Pratt-Perkins of Delavan, WI, Jon D. (Jane) Pratt of Marshall, WI, and Mark A. (Esther) Pratt of Waterloo, WI. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister, Elaine Backaus and brothers, Ronald (Sue) Wickershiem and Richard (Luellyn) Wickershiem.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David A. Pratt, a son Michael Zink, sons-in-law, Steve Gagliano and Rick Perkins and a great grandson, Mason DeJarlais.

The family thanks the staff at Stoney River Assisted Living and Promedica Hospice for their loving care.
