Carl Roger Curtis, 79, passed away on Monday June 10, 2019 in Indianapolis, IN. A Funeral service will be held at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Marshfield, WI on Friday June 14, 2019 at 10:30am. Visitation will be held at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Marshfield, WI on Friday June 14, 2019 at 9:00am. Burial will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Marshfield, WI following services.
Roger Curtis was born October 31, 1939, the son of Merlyn and Mary (Gusniewski) Curtis of Ashland, WI. Roger graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 1961 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Roger enlisted in the Air Force in 1962 as a fighter pilot and retired in 1982. After retiring from the military Roger worked for the federal government as a project manager building federal court houses until December 2005.
In his spare time Roger enjoyed playing golf, working on his yard, and washing/working on cars. He especially enjoyed spending time with his wife Nancy, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Those that knew Roger best will miss his undying love, smile, hugs, and love for life. Roger is lovingly survived by his wife Nancy J (Carlisle) Curtis; brother Merlyn (Linda) Curtis; children Kathy (Les) Hopkins, Todd Curtis, Stephanie Nichols; he is further survived by his grandchildren Felicia (Luke) Holland, Ashton (Curtis) Brede, Raquel (Steven) Virchow, Regan Kelly and Derek Hutton, and Chloe Davenport; and many great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents Merlyn and Mary Curtis; brother Dale Curtis; and late wife Geraldine Curtis.
