Catherine A. “Katy” Frost, 79, Mosinee, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2019 at her home in the Town of Green Valley, Marathon County.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 3, 2020 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Marshfield, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00 am until service time. Rev. Sue Vornholt will officiate. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Pittsville, at a later date. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Catherine was born on January 14, 1940 in the Town of Cleveland, Marathon County, to Elroy and Marie (Hughes) Spindler and was a 1958 graduate of Stratford High School. She was united in marriage to James W. Frost on May 8, 1965 at Ebenezer United Church of Christ, Town of Cleveland, Marathon County.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jim, and their children, Roger (Ketura) Frost of Stevens Point and Robert (Christine) Frost of Vesper. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Josephine, Evelyn and Catherine Frost, Kyle (Angela) Kohlman, and MacKenzie and Nathan Frost, 7 great grandchildren, Katie, Jason, Noel, Brandon, Kasandra, Vanessa and Gabriel and her siblings, Mary Lou Eggebrecht of Abbotsford, Glenn (Shirley) Spindler of Marshfield, Robert (Deloris) Spindler of Stratford, Diane Kleba of Marshfield, and Sandra (Ronald) Gebelein of Stratford. She is further survived by a brother-in-law, Bill (Marie) Frost of Marshfield, a sister-in-law, Sharon (Robert) Christensen of Claremore, OK, a brother-in-law, Tom (Tammy) Frost of Escanaba, MI and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Gary Spindler and brothers-in-law, James Eggebrecht and Raymond Kleba.
