Christine G. Szaflarski, 58, Marshfield, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Atrium Post Acute Care, Marshfield.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Marshfield, with Rev. David Faulkner officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:30 am until service time at the church.
Christine was born on January 27, 1960 in Wisconsin to Emmanuel “Dick” and (Eleanor) Smetak. She married Kenneth Szaflarski on October 25, 1980 in Neillsville, Wisconsin. They later divorced.
Christine spent her most of her days as a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, especially for the residence at Parkview Apartments. She also loved crocheting and spending time with her grandson, Anthony and the rest of her family.
Christine is survived by her daughter, Lana (Aaron) Peterson of Marshfield, son, Kenny Szaflarski of Black River Falls, and grandson, Anthony Peterson. She is further survived by her sister, Shelly (Scott) Babcock and brothers, David (Tracy Sharlow) Smetak and David Wollner Jr. She was predeceased by her parents, a son in infancy, Chad, and her step-father, Dave Woellner.
The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Unit at the Marshfield Medical Center and the nurses and staff with Ministry Hospice Ascension at Home and Atrium Post Acute Care.
