Daniel Ray Teska, age 55, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021, at the Marshfield Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 10571 George Avenue, Auburndale, on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Mark Lundgren officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Auburndale, and serving as pallbearers will be Brad Doine, Jeff Schiller, John Huffman, Jeff Zachow, Dave Krings, and Jack Esser. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021, at the church and also one hour before the time of service at the church on Saturday.
Dan was born on February 18, 1966, in Marshfield, Wisconsin to Roger and Jean (Mews) Teska. He received his education in the Auburndale School system. After high school he attended Mid-State Technical College in Wisconsin Rapids for diesel mechanic and joined the Teska Trucking business. Following his father’s passing, he became the sole owner, operator of what became Dan Teska Trucking.
Dan loved all things trucks and heavy equipment. He was extremely proud of the family business he continued. He was very skilled at utilizing all types of machinery. Dan was a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Auburndale and served in multiple leadership roles as well as donating many volunteer hours. He enjoyed bowling, shooting pool, playing sports, building custom toy truck models and polishing his truck. Above all Dan loved his family and enjoyed playing with his cherished grand- nephews and grand-nieces.
Dan is survived by his mother, Jean Teska of Auburndale, his brothers Bruce Teska (Linda) of Auburndale, Paul Teska (Connie) of Arpin, a sister Jane Sluiter (Bob) of Sarona and Sister-in-law Susan Treml of Auburndale. Nephews and Nieces, Rob Teska (Anne) children Allis, Ray, Russ; Travis Teska (Noah), Eric Teska (Jen) children Nora, Elsie; Katy Higley (Chris) child Taylor; Amy Biederman (Chase) children Logan, Macy and Ivan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Teska and brother, Russell Teska, Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles.
Memorials may be designated to the family in his name, and they will establish memorials at a later date.
