David J. Lemley, 49, Marshfield, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at his home.
A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield. A luncheon will follow at Eagles Club in Marshfield.
Born to Kathy Jo and David Gene Lemley in Longview, Texas, Dave was raised in central Texas where he and Candice met in middle school. Dave and his family moved away, but 20+ years later Dave and Candice reunited and shared the last 13 years together. Spending their lives fishing and riding with Bikers Against Child Abuse. They spent most of their time supporting their friends in all walks of life. They enjoyed traveling together, camping, going to concerts, starting a bait business, and just enjoying every day of their life together.
Dave’s kids and his grandkids were the light of his life. He loved his family and friends deeply and would move heaven and earth to make anyone smile. He was the life of the party everywhere he went and was always a light of positivity in everything he did.
He is survived by his wife Candice, children, Chayton and Patricia Lemley of Woodville, TX and Cheyene and Jessica Lemley of La Grange, TX, grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann, Carter Lynn, Peyton Taylor, Everleigh Marie, and coming soon – Emerson Jade.
He is further survived by his mother, Kathy Jo Lemley of McDade, TX; sister, Misty Ann Lemley of McDade, TX; father and mother in law, Joe and Wanda Humphrey; sister and brother in law, Brenadine Humphrey and Joe Liston of Vicenza, Italy.; nieces, Sierra, Cassidy, Sedoree, Cielyn, and Marlo; and nephew, Aaron; as well as many other family members and friends that were part of his chosen family.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Gene Lemley, grandparents, Arlie and Irma Kennimer and Gene and Etta Lemley, aunts, Geraldine Caffrey, Louise Broadus, and Julia Ann Boyd, cousin, Robbie Kennimer, and granddaughter, Emiley Lynn.
