Dennis D. Richardson, 70, Sherry, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Saturday December 24, 2022, at his home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 30, 2022, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Milladore, with Father Packi officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery at a later date. The visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday at Martens/Rembs Funeral Home, Junction City, and from 12:00 pm until service time on Friday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.
Dennis was born on May 4, 1952, in Stevens Point, to Harold and Elizabeth (Salzmann) Richardson and was a graduate of Auburndale High School. He married Toni Petersen on July 28, 1990, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.
Denny owned and operated a successful business, Richardson Construction, for 50 years. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He knew everybody, never judged and accepted people for who they were. He appeared to be a rugged man on outside but showed his love for his family and others in many ways. Denny was selfless and would give the shirt off his back and help anyone that needed it. He never said, “I can’t” and would say “If you don’t use it, you’ll lose it.” The most important thing to Denny was his family, his wife, children, and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Toni, their three children and two grandchildren, Cole (Cassie) Richardson; Jessica (Tyler) Ramirez, and their children, Kai and Ellie; and Rebecca (Brandon) Smith; and special family friends Jacob and Alexis Nelson and their children Amelia and Noah. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters, Hal (Eileen), Rick (Jolice), Mike (Lynn), Lori, Adelyn, Louis, Barry (Gayle), Pat (Amy), Mark, George (Lacy), Shelly (Steve), and Bill (Carmen), and many family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Betty, sister Mary Ann, brothers-in-law, Noel and Bernard, sister-in-law Sue and parents-in-law Tony and Hazel.
The family wishes to give special thanks to the EMT’s and First Responders.
