Dennis S. Wilhelm, 66, Arpin, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Marshfield Medical Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Rozellville, with visitation from 9:00 am until the time of service. Rev. Barry Saylor will officiate. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Dan Dorshorst, Brad Dorshorst, Steve Strigel, Darrell Pankratz, Phil Vruwink, and Fritz Miller. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Dennis was born on March 27, 1958 in Marshfield to Richard and Loretta (Loonstra) Wilhelm. He graduated from Auburndale High School in 1976 and later received his farm business and production management degree from MSTC. He married Bonita “Bonnie” Hintz on August 8, 1981 at St. James Catholic Church in Vesper.
Dennis lived on the family farm all his life and was a 4th generation. He was a hard worker and was very proud of his White tractors. He played football in high school and enjoyed outside activities, pool, history, and snowmobiling. Dennis also loved his sports and was an avid Packers, Brewers, Badgers, and NASCAR fan.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, son Jon Wilhelm, daughter, Jenny (Mike) Wilbur, and grandson, Deacon. He is further survived by his siblings, Rick (Dawn) Wilhelm, Randy (Teri) Wilhelm, Jim (Jan) Wilhelm, Jeff (Maria) Wilhelm, Diane Wilhelm, and Donna Anslum, brothers and sisters in-law, Lee (Sue) Fletcher, Betty Ubinger, Carolyn Fletcher Neunenschwander, Carolyn Fletcher, and Carla Fletcher, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother in law, Robert (Eilene) Hintz, and brothers in law, Harlow Fletcher, Mark Fletcher, Gayle Fletcher, Marvin Hintz.
Dennis was a man with a big heart who always said you gotta do your best and have a good sense of humor – especially if you live with Bonnie.
