Dick A. Jensen, 72, Marshfield, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Marshfield Medical Center.
A private graveside service will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Marshfield.
Dick was born on December 1, 1950 in Marshfield to Albert and Marie (Maurer) Jensen. He worked at A&B Process Systems in Stratford until his retirement. Dick served in the United States Army from 1970 – 1972. He was stationed in the Panama Canal Zone where he served in artillery and was trained on using Red-Eye Missiles.
Dick enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading about the latest innovations in firearms, and playing games on his computer. As a young man, he played hockey, and received many outstanding player awards. Later on he played softball and he was an avid trap shooter joining many leagues in the area. What Dick looked forward to the most in recent years was joining many friends for a Wednesday get together at their favorite local establishment.
He is survived by his brothers, Ralph (Judith) Jensen of St. Louis and Robert (Donna) Jensen of Sun Prairie, sister-in-law, Joan Zoellner, brother-in-law, Rich Fischer of Marshfield, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Victor Jensen, and sister Jean Fischer.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the palliative care nurses at Marshfield Hospital. Many thanks to Rich, Travis and Ashley Fischer, and Mike Maurer for being there when he needed you and for assisting Dick with his latest health care needs. Our heartfelt appreciation goes to his extended family which includes many friends and neighbors who always were checking on Dick while he was struggling with his health, we appreciate it more than words can say.
