Obituary for Dona Zieher

Dona M. Zieher, age 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Wells Nature View, Marshfield.

A gathering for family and friends will be held at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, on Friday, April 18, 2025, from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm. Burial will be in Arpin Cemetery.

Dona was born on April 9, 1933, in Marshfield, to Ole and Ruth (Stoflet) Erickson.

She was united in marriage to Harold J. Zieher on April 27, 1953, in Hewitt, Wisconsin, and they were married for 69 years. He died on May 14, 2022.

Harold and Dona farmed in Arpin for most of their lives until they retired to Hewitt. Dona enjoyed music, especially listening to her nephew, Brian, play his concertina. She also enjoyed collecting glassware and cooking for her family.

She is survived by her children, Cindy (Richard) Weiler of Vesper, Debbie (Alan) Haupt of Arpin, Jackie Williams of Auburndale, Cheryl (Russell) Altman of Arpin, and Tara (Jade) Tryba of Plover. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Clint (Kristin) Weiler, Chelsea (Tom) Onchuck, Nathan (Michelle) Weiler, Jessa (Jared) Reigel, Cortney (Cody) Rustik, Jade (Travis) Mikshowsky, Logan Altman, Shane Tryba, and Shelby Tryba, and 17 great grandchildren, Louie, Charlie, Jaxson, Jarrett, Jayla, Wyatt, Brianna, Colton, Carson, Max, Harvey, Kevin, Harrington, William, Mora, Janna, and Josie. She is further survived by a brother, Bob (Donna) Erickson of Springbrook and a sister-in-law, Pat Erickson of Hayward.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a son, Gary, a son-in-law, Kevin Williams, a sister, Betty Nicholson, and a brother, Norman Erickson.
