Donald H. Dake, 77, Greenwood, WI and formerly of Camden, NJ and Appleton, WI passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 due to complications following open heart surgery.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Monday, November 15, 2021 at Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield, WI where the visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time. Rev Mark Krueger will officiate. The service will be live streamed at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes.
Donald was born on May 20, 1944, in Camden, New Jersey, to Dorothy Barrett and James Klug Dake. He attended Appleton West High School and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He married Judith A. Brandt on September 5, 1964 at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton.
Don was employed as a machinist, truck driver, computer specialist with son Michael and mechanic.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy, and their children, Dawn Dake of Appleton, Mike Dake of Shiocton, Jody (James) Muten of Kiel and Troy (Stacy) Dake of Hortonville. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Josie Dake, Alex Muten, Caitlyn Muten, Kylie Dake, Nick Muten, Max Dake, Reese Dake, Riley Dake, Mati Jo Dake and Callen Dake. He is further survived by siblings Jesse Van Hout, Sue Biese, Dan (Patti) Dake, Sally (Jerry) Getlinger, John (Heidi) Dake, Paula (Russell) Raddatz, sister-in-law Sharon Dake, brother-in-law Jerry (Ann) Brandt, David (Melissa) Brandt and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Celes Dake, stepfather Paul Boettcher, sister Joann Hoffner and his brothers LeRoy Dake, Larry Dake, Jim (Char) Van Hout, mother and father-in-law Howard and Arlene Brandt and brother-in-law Denny Biese.
