Obituary for Edward Fandry

Edward F. Fandry, 90, Marshfield, passed away peacefully with family at his side on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Marshfield Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 11:00 am until service time. Military rites will be conducted at the funeral home by the American Legion Post 54 following the service.

Edward was born on November 5, 1932, in Marshfield, to Edward and Geneva (Duval) Fandry, Sr. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge he attended the UW Stout and the UW Stevens Point.

He married Claudine E. Holleran on June 25, 1955, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Marshfield.

Ed had been employed for the Marshfield School District serving in various capacities, beginning as a school bus driver until his retirement as custodial supervisor. While with the district he was heavily involved in many sporting events and served as sports referee and umpire. Ed had a remarkable talent for knowing every students name that he crossed paths with.

He was a member of the Marshfield Elks Club and the American Legion Post 54. Ed was an avid outdoorsman and die-hard Packers fan.

Ed is survived by his wife of 67 years, Claudine, three grandchildren, Meghan (Tim) Stinson, Nicholas (Grace) Fandry and Jacob Edward Hiser and three great grandchildren. He is further survived by brothers, Donald Fandry and Ron “Chief” (Mary) Fandry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Thomas Fandry, a daughter Patricia Pancamo and a sister Yvonne Schwalback.
