Edward D. Skwierczynski, 65, Stratford, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2019 at Marshfield Medical Center.
A visitation will be from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield.
Edward was born on October 12, 1953 in Chicago, to Louis and Louise (Posda) Skwierczynski. As a teenager he moved to Stratford with his family and worked on his father’s farm. He also worked at Burger Chef in Marshfield, where he met his future wife, Cheryl Kronberger. They were married on September 1, 1979 in Marshfield. He was then employed at Weyerhaeuser / Marshfield Door Systems until his retirement after 35 years of service.
Ed was very knowledgeable about motors and did small engine repair as a hobby as well as old cars, minibikes, go carts and motorcycles. As a classic car enthusiast, he would regularly attend the Iola Car Show.
He is survived by his wife Cheryl and their three sons, Christopher (Kim) Skwierczynski of Stratford, Matthew Skwierczynski of Marshfield and Adam (fiancé – Chelsea Pope) Skwierczynski of Marshfield. He is also survived by two brothers, Jerry (Diane) Skwierczynski of Chicago, IL and Ernie (Lisa) Skwierczynski of Stratford and a sister, Rita (Larry) Waring of Chrystal Lake IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
