Elizabeth A. Williams, 78, Junction City, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021, at her home in the Town of Eau Pleine.
A memorial service will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, April 16, 2021, at Martens / Rembs Funeral Home, Junction City. Father Packi will officiate. The service will be live-streamed at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes.
Elizabeth was born on June 1, 1942, in Jackson, Michigan, to Norman and Frances (Lammers) Smith. She was a 1963 graduate of Marygrove College in Detroit, Michigan.
Elizabeth was a retired chemist from the US Food and Drug Administration. She volunteered as Catechist and Eucharistic Minister at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Michigan in 1975. She moved to Oswego, Illinois to live with her son and daughter-in-law and grandchildren in 2005. She then joined the Senior Gems at Our Lady of Mercy Church, where she was a parishioner, catechist, and eucharistic minister. She was a very intelligent woman and loved to read. She loved talking and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son David (Josefina) Williams of Junction City and six grandchildren, Dezeree’ Solomon, Marc Solomon, Yanis Williams, Jada Williams, Nicholas Williams, and Adrian Torres-Williams, and a great-grandson Marc A. Solomon, Jr.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
