Elizabeth “Betty” A. Jadack, 91, formerly of Junction City, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020, at her home in Sparta.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 4, 2021, at St. Kilian’s Catholic Church, Blenker, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:30 am until service time. Rev. Murali Ananand Rayappan will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Martens / Rembs Funeral Home, Junction City, is assisting the family.
Betty was born on November 2, 1929, in Blenker, to John and Rose (Flateau) Altmann. She was a graduate and valedictorian of her class at Auburndale High School.
She was united in marriage to Wallace J. Jadack on May 23, 1959, at St. Kilian’s Catholic Church, Blenker. He died on January 3, 1988.
As a young lady, Betty was employed at Sentry Insurance, Stevens Point. Later in life in addition to raising her children, she worked as a bookkeeper. She also served as Town Clerk for the Town of Carson and served as Postmaster in Blenker for a time. She played the organ and had been choir director at St. Kilian’s. She enjoyed reading and knitting.
She is survived by three daughters, Rosemary Jadack of Sparta, Margaret “Peggy” Jadack of Sparta and Jane (Melissa) Jadack of Rochester, MN, and many furry friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and siblings, John “Jack”, Frederick, Mary, Richard, and Rev. Robert Altmann.
