Elnora was born on February 24, 1941 to Albert and Dorothy (Sternitzky) Guillaume, in the town of Lynn, Wisconsin. She attended Groveside Country School and graduated from Spencer High School in 1959. Elnora met Louis Grottke in 1958 and on July 11th, 1959 they were united in marriage at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer, Wisconsin. They were married for 59 years.

Following marriage Elnora joined her husband, Louis on the family farm where they lived for 14 years. They had two daughters, Donna and Danelle.

Elnora loved to cook and bake. In 1968 Elnora won a ten county bake-off on channel 7 TV, Wausau, WI for her Princess Poppy Torte.

In 1973 the family moved to Marshfield, WI and Elnora started her job at Land O’ Lakes in Spencer, WI, where she worked until her retirement.

In Elnora’s earlier years she sewed three sets of mother and daughter dresses on her treadle sewing machine. Elnora also planted a large garden on the farm, where she canned most of the produce.

In Marshfield Elnora enjoyed beautifying her home with flower beds, and many hanging baskets.

Elnora and Louis enjoyed taking their daughters and grandchildren camping. They also enjoyed taking sightseeing tours as a couple for many years. And in their earlier years they went dancing at the Silver Dome and Chili Corners.

Elnora will be greatly missed, especially her delicious cooking and baking.
