George J. Jensen, 82, Marshfield, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Marshfield Health Services.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
George was born on August 15, 1938, in Cloquet, Minnesota.
He was united in marriage to Yvonne Moyer on June 27, 1970, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Medford. She passed away on October 15, 2002. He later married Helen (Goldade) Kuntz on January 27, 2005, in Wisconsin Dells.
In his younger years, George was a big water skier. He also went to state for a roller-skating competition and won. George was an avid hunter. He loved to duck hunt and share his stories over a cup of coffee. He also enjoyed fishing and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings. But above all, his roses were his pride and joy. They were as big as saucer plates. He even got published in Birds & Blooms Magazine.
He is survived by his wife, Helen, daughter, Laura (Donald) Neubauer of Medford, grandchildren, Donne (Jody) Neubauer and Janet (Jeffery) Haas, 3 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren. He was also loved by all of Helen’s family: her 7 children, 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Yvonne, and son, George H. Petz.
