Gerald “Jerry” C. Meyer, 92, Marshfield, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024 at Marshfield Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, December 23, 2024 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield where visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service. The funeral will be streamed online at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Entombment will follow at McMillan Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Town of McMillan, Marathon County. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Jerry was born on December 25, 1931 in Marshfield to George and Ora (Powell) Meyer. He attended Ebbe School in the Town of Lincoln and graduated from Marshfield Senior High. He was united in marriage for 71 years to Adeline Gessert on May 12, 1953 in Bakerville.
Jerry spent a majority of his life working as a farmer but later worked at the Eagles Club and bartended at the KC Hall.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and playing cards.
He is survived by his wife, Adeline, son, Charles Meyer, daughter, Dawn (Mike) Bluhm Martens, 12 grandchildren, and 35 great grandchildren.
He is further survived by his brothers, Russell (Sandy) Meyer of Green Bay, Bernard (Shirley) Meyer of Marshfield and Randy (Cheryl) Meyer of Auburndale.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ora, sons, Jeffery and Steven Meyer, sister, Doris Dupee, and brother, Donald Meyer.
