Geraldine E. Foltz, 89, Marshfield, passed away peacefully at the Wells Nature View with her family at her side.

A Funeral service for her will take place at 11am on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Marshfield. A Visitation for family and friends will be held at church Saturday morning from 9:30 until time of service. Burial will follow in Brooklawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in the Town of Richfield. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Geraldine was born March 2, 1934, in Marshfield to Robert & Anita (Dix) Ott. She was united in marriage to Robert Foltz on June 9, 1956, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Marshfield. He sadly passed away in June of this year. Geraldine was employed as a cafeteria manager for Marshfield Jr. High School and took great pride in her work.

Early years were spent in the kitchen and in the garden on their family farm in Bakerville. Many blue ribbons were won at the fair by Geraldine and her mother. As a young mother, Geraldine already with her own three boys, fostered two boys to love and care for, Paul and Kevin became like family.

Geraldine enjoyed, more than anything, spending time in Door County with her family. Camping in the early years, then having a timeshare and resorting.

Geraldine was an artist in the kitchen; with her specialty being meat & potatoes with all the fixings. You better stay out of the way when all the stove burners were on high, and the steam was rolling. She could patch up any hole or tear in any article of clothing her darned socks looked to be done on a machine. Mom also loved playing cards, particularly Sheepshead, Rook, and Wizard with snacks and a highball on the side. She was active in church and volunteered with Robert at the Ronald McDonald House. Her life revolved around faith in God.

Geraldine is lovingly survived by her sons, Bradley (Ann) Foltz of Eagle River, Brian (Victoria) Foltz of Marshfield, and Todd (Mary) Foltz of Stevens Point, 5 grandchildren, ReAnnin (Kiel) DesJarlais, Owen Foltz, Taylor Harty, Robert (Jaymi) Foltz, and Elliott Foltz, and 2 great grandchildren, Kashdyn DesJarlais and Keinzley DesJarlais. She is further survived by sisters Bonnie Ziegahn and Phyllis Wendt both of Marshfield, sister-in-law Ardene Ott of Bakerville, and many nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Foltz, sister Virginia (Clarence) Weirauch, brothers Kenneth (Rosie) Ott and Darwin Ott, and brothers-in-law Bill Ziegahn & Carl Wendt.

Special thanks to Wells Nature View and St. Croix Hospice for their excellent care of our mother.
