Harold was born on January 16, 1937, in Neillsville to William and Mattie (Minsaas) Hansen and attended Neillsville schools. He was united in marriage to Mona “Dolly” Ress on August 3, 1963. They were happily married for 43 years until her passing on November 27, 2006.

Harold resided in Spencer and was a devoted husband, dad, and grandpa. He worked at Rollohome as an electrician and later as a welder/fabricator at Felker Brothers for 34 years until his happy retirement in 1999.

Harold enjoyed casino trips with Junior, rides with Jerry and Debbie to his old Clark County stompin grounds, dancing with Dolly, old cars, trucks and tractors (especially red ones), hanging at Junior’s shop with friends and family, a coffee on the deck or at the kitchen table, his great cooking at holidays, tinkering in the garage…but mostly his grandkids.

He is survived by his son Harold Jr. of Marshfield, Jerry of Spencer, Debbie (Jay) Moore of Hewitt and grandchildren Cody (girlfriend Rachel Busse) of Marshfield, Casey (Janita) of Marshfield, and Courtney (boyfriend Joshua Scherr) of Spencer and dog Muffin. He is further survived by brothers Carroll and Dennis and sister Mickey, and many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a son Terry in infancy, brothers Bill, James, Richard, Ronald, sisters Mavis, Arlene, Marlene, Mildred, and Virginia.

Harold’s family would like to give a special thank you to the Marshfield Medical Center, Davita Dialysis, and Marshfield Medical Center Palliative Care Center.
