Irmgard “Irma” Ehrike, age 88, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at Wells Nature View Assisted Living.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Sauter / Rembs Funeral Home, Stratford, where the visitation will be from 9:30 am until service time. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Highway 153, in Stratford, and serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Brandon Hayes, Tanner Hayes, Wyatt Ehrike, and Kade Ehrike.

Irma was born on August 4, 1935, in Deggendorf, West Germany, to Albert Vogl and Maria Weinberger.

She was united in marriage to William C. “Carlie” Ehrike on September 11, 1959, in Furth Nurnberg, West Germany. He died on April 22, 2007.

Irma obtained her U.S. Citizenship in 1966 when she and her family came to the United States. She was employed as a supervisor at Figi’s in Marshfield until her retirement in 1994. Her most important role in life was that of a wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed time spent with friends and family, especially her grandchildren, and cooking, playing cards, and gardening. Those who knew her best will remember her warm spirit, bright smile, her strong German accent, and her love of family. She was always there for her family, enjoying the opportunity to share in their lives. Her grandchildren held a very special spot in her heart.

She is survived by her children, Kevin Ehrike, Mavis (Chuck) Hayes and Keith Ehrike, and a daughter-in-law, Barbara Ehrike. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Brandon (Anna) Hayes, Tanner (Alexa) Hayes, Josh (Heather) Martin, Samantha Ehrike Luff (Jordan), Tamra (Nelson) Hernandez, Jennifer (Anthony) Hershey, Robert Brown, Wyatt Ehrike, Kade Ehrike, and Carley Ehrike, Tyler Ehrike, and Logan Ehrike, 12 great grandchildren, Benjamin, one expected this month, Caleb, Grace, Issac, Ethan, Mia, Anthony, Jr., Vincent, Robbie, Jax, August, Riley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a son Norbert on June 11, 2020.

Now Irma/Mom can join the “love of her life” her beloved husband Carlie.
