Jerine Rose (Schreiner) Dudley peacefully passed away in Marshfield, WI, on Jan. 3, 2025, just short of her 91st birthday.
Jerine was born on Jan. 28, 1934, and raised in the Marshfield area. She was a graduate of the first graduating class of Columbus High School, and later in life graduated with a BS degree in Psychology from UW-Stevens Point.
She was employed by Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield for 18 years. After pursuing her college degree, she shared her love of books by working at the Spencer Public Library for 14 years. Then, retiring to thoroughly enjoy spending time in her flower gardens, watching the birds, and reading from her expansive book collection.
Daughter of Edward and Rose (Durst) Schreiner, she was married to Ronald R. Dudley Sr. on May 28, 1955, and raised six children.
Jerine is survived by her children: Ronald R. (Diane) Dudley Jr. of Canyon City, CO, David R. (Lynette Will) Dudley of Marshfield, WI, Janene R. (Dale) Alsum of Trego, WI, and Karen V. (Edward) Judy of Stevens City, VA; as well as 10 grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Lopez of North Bend, OR. She was preceded in death by her sons: Mark and Christopher; along with her parents; brother, Raymond Schreiner; sister, Carol Haines; and former husband, Ronald R. Dudley Sr.
Following Jerine’s wishes, there will be no services. Burial will take place at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Hewitt, WI.
