Joan Marie Zopfi, age 66, of Vesper, passed away after a courageous fight with cancer on Sunday, May 2, 2021, at her home with family and friends surrounding her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Kandy Kane Park in Arpin beginning at 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 8, 2021. A prayer service will be held at 5:00 pm.
Joan was born on September 16, 1954, in Marshfield, to Howard and Mary (Haupt) Zopfi, Sr. and attended Auburndale High School. She worked different jobs throughout her life. She was employed at Esser Trucking, Arpin Dairy, Bethel Nursing Home and her latest adventures took her on the road with A & P Carnival out of Custer, Wisconsin.
Joan was always outside keeping busy in her many flower beds or vegetable garden. She would spend hours out in the sun tending to her gardens. Joan loved to go on road trips with friends just to see all there was around her. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by many.
She is survived by her children, Dale Koplein (Jeana) and Mark Zopfi (Lindsay Younger) and five grandchildren, Nathaniel and Kristina Koplein, Darren Otto, and Chase and Emma Zopfi, and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings, Dennis (Sandy) Zopfi of Neillsville, Thomas Zopfi of Auburndale, Gerry Zopfi of Arpin, John Zopfi of Rudolph, Randy (Janet) Zopfi of Vesper, Cheryl (Randy) Bennett of Cranmoor, Patrick (Cami) Zopfi of Rudolph, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Howard Zopfi, Jr.
