JoAnn King, 78, Marshfield, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at House of the Dove, Marshfield.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 16, 2021, at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 11:00 am until service time. The service will be live-streamed at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Rev. James Weighner will officiate. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum, Waukesha.
JoAnn was born on May 15, 1942, in Marshfield, to Joseph and Catherine (Pilarczyk) Fay.
She was united in marriage to Mark King on January 10, 1959. He died on October 9, 2014.
JoAnn had worked at the Senior Center in Marshfield. She liked to play BINGO and sheepshead and all kinds of other card games. She enjoyed baking and canning and liked to travel with her husband, making trips to the national parks and Alaska as well as taking day trips with relatives and friends.
She is survived by her son Jeffery King (Joy Cooper) of Watertown, sisters Doris, Bernice, Jane, and a brother-in-law Arnie (Joan) King, and many nieces and nephews who have been special to her. She is further survived by her good friend, Richard Akey, neighbors, friends at the Senior Center and BINGO, and her Goddaughter Peggy (Jim) Lemanski.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Mark, and a son Steven.
JoAnn wanted to thank all who called, sent cards and flowers, and all the special caregivers at the House of the Dove.
