John S. Eckes, age 77, of Marshfield, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Marshfield Medical Center.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 29, 2024, at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, where a gathering for family and friends will be from 10:00 am until service time. Deacon Ray Draeger will officiate. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield.
John was born on November 23, 1946, in Marshfield, to Elmer and Mary (Pongratz) Eckes and was a 1965 graduate of Columbus High School.
He was employed his entire life for over 40 years at Wick Building Systems until his retirement.
John is survived by dear friends, Marvin J. “Butch” and Mary Lou Duerr and their family. He is also survived by three nieces and a nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Carl.
