John J. Kaiser, 86, Marshfield, passed away peacefully with family at his side on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Marshfield Medical Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Marshfield, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00 am until service time. Interment will be in McMillan Memorial Gardens Cemetery Mausoleum, Town of McMillan, Marathon County, where military rites will be conducted.
John was born on August 30, 1932 in Stratford, to Walter and Thecla (Hennes) Kaiser and was a 1950 graduate of Stratford High School. He married Loretta M. Boehm on May 30, 1956 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Halder. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving as a corporal during the Korean War from December 2, 1952 until his honorable discharge on November 2, 1954.
Beginning in 1959 John began employment for the City of Marshfield Street Department and in 1978 he became assistant street superintendent until his retirement in 1990.
John enjoyed time with his family, fishing, and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta, and their children, Kim (Michele) Kaiser of Marshfield, Karen KaiserAnderson of Salt Lake City, Utah, Glen (Lisa) Kaiser of Rochester, MN, and Russell Kaiser of Alexandria, VA. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 stepgrandchildren. He is further survived by a sister, Elaine Samuels of Tulsa, OK.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Jean Pankratz and Annella Baldwin.
