Jack was born on February 28, 1952 in Marshfield to Terry and Elizabeth “Betty” (Gustafson) Hefko. He graduated from Marshfield Senior High in 1970 and later went onto receive his Master Electrician license.
Jack was proud of his time at Hefko Floral where he developed a special relationship with his grandfather, TD Hefko. He really treasured the bond and time spent with all of his family and relatives. He enjoyed gardening, traveling the United States, exploring, being outdoors, woodworking, history, music, and John Wayne. Jack had a strong faith. Most of all, he loved spending time with his kids and grandkids and was really excited for his first great grandchild. Jack was also known for reminding his children that “can’t isn’t a word.”
He is survived by his children, Rebecca (Michael) Collins, Zeke Hefko, Matthew (Jennifer) Hefko, Benjamin Hefko and their mother, grandchildren, Brenden (Sarah) Collins and Vincent Hefko-Allee, and great grandson baby boy Collins in June 2023.
He is further survived by his siblings, Richard (Kathy) Hefko, Thomas Hefko, Mary Smith, Elizabeth “Lizz” (Charles) Koenig, David (Nancy) Hefko, and Robert Hefko.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, Thomas Smith, niece, Krysten Hefko, and mother and father-in-law, Orville and Beatrice Hughes.
