Joseph M. Kolb Jr., 69, Stratford, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home in Stratford with visitation from 11:00 am until service time. Deacon Ray Draeger will officiate. Military rites will be conducted by VFW Post #6352 – Stratford at the funeral home following the service.
Joe was born on April 4, 1953 in Marshfield to Joseph and Dorothy (Stein) Kolb. He attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School and graduated from Stratford High School in 1971. On May 19, 1984 he was united in marriage to the mother of his three children and best friend, Linda Anderson. They later divorced.
He drove trucks 35+ years for Roehl Transport. After retiring he drove a bus for the School District of Marshfield.
Joe enjoyed fishing, playing Sheepshead, cribbage, hunting, and family get-togethers. He was an avid fan of the Bucks, Brewers, Packers and NASCAR racing. His pride and joy were his kids, grandkids, and daughter-in-laws.
He is survived by his sons, Jake (Jamie) Kolb, Isaac (Kasey) Kolb, daughter, Baylee Kolb, all of Stratford, and grandchildren, Lily, Lucy, Brady, Brayden, and Grant. He is further survived by his siblings, Joan Kolb of Stratford, Al (Earlene) Kolb of Green Bay, Marvin Kolb of Grants Pass, Oregon, Kay Phelps, and Mary (James) Ness, all of Marshfield, Janel (John) Frank of Wisconsin Rapids and Kenan (Janet) Kolb of Rosemount, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
