Joyce I. Blemings, 84, Town of Richfield, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Stoney River Assisted Living.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, with visitation from 9:00 am until the time of service. Bishop Ben Hunter will officiate. The service will be streamed online at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes.
Joyce was born on February 28, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA to George B. and Genevieve (Saik) McKale Sr. She graduated from Upper Darby Senior High School in 1959. She married Paul F. Blemings on February 23, 1963 in Clifton Heights, PA, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with love and shared adventures. Paul passed away on November 14, 2024.
Joyce defined herself as a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, but most of all an Army Wife. She traveled the world following her husband to city, state, and country for 30 years. Her hobby was genealogy. She was proud of having traced back 7 generations of her family tree. Joyce had a strong faith and was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Joyce is survived by her daughter Kymberly (Terry Sr.) Zillmer of Town of Richfield, grandchildren, Terry (Amber) Zillmer Jr. of Chippewa Falls, Paul (Erinn) Zillmer of Chippewa Falls, Dustin (Ashley) Zillmer of Marshfield, and Sean (Jakrista Roetzel) Zillmer of Town of Richfield, and great grandchildren, Mackenna, Blake, Alyah, Alaric and Olivia.
She is further survived by her brother, George (Theresa) McKale Jr. of Springfield, PA, and many nieces and nephews.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, husband, parents in law, 5 brothers in law, and 3 sisters in law.
