Judith C. Strasser, 79, Stratford, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at her home.

A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 11, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Stratford with visitation from 9:00 am until service time. Rev. Sengole Vethanayagam will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in the Town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County. Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Judith was born on March 6, 1944 in West Bend to Jerome and Rosaline (Herriges) Mancheski.  She graduated from Kewaskum High School. She married Paul M. Strasser at St. Michael’s Church in Kewaskum, WI on October 22, 1966.

She worked at the West Bend Company until she got married, then was a housewife to be with her 7 children. She also worked at Northern Star and Fiskars and farmed for many years.

Judith had a passion for flowers always looking for something more to plant. She loved gardening, canning, baking, playing cards, shopping, estate sales, and babysitting grandkids. For fun she liked to bowl, shoot pool and dance to Polka music. She also volunteered at the Knights of Columbus in Marshfield as well as St. Joseph’s Church in Stratford.

She is survived by her husband, Paul, children, Patrick (Penny) Strasser of Stratford, Tracy Strasser of Athens, Michelle (Timothy) Lane of Wausau, Renee (Duane) Ladick of Mosinee, Christopher (Angela) Strasser of Stratford, John (Mary) Strasser of Stratford, Keith (Kim) Strasser of Spencer, 25 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her siblings, Lloyd (Marian) Herriges of Kewaskum, Mary (Richard) Kucheid of Pewaukee, Virginia Kurtzweil of Mosinee, Patty (John) Metrish of West Bend, and Donna (Dick) Wallner of Saukville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerome and Rosalie Herriges, brother-in-law, Kenneth Kurtzweil, sister-in-law, Diane Herriges, and niece, Lisa Herriges.

The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses with Compassus Hospice for everything they did and a special thanks to her main nurse, Angela Strasser.
