As a caregiver, you often put the needs of others before yourself. Judy exemplified this every day working side by side with her husband on the dairy farm and for more than 30 years running a CBRF. Judy enjoyed cooking for the many people who were often at the farm. She always said the door was open and there was room for one more at the table. In 1996 Judy worked as a Housekeeper at St. Joseph’s Hospital until her retirement. Judy also enjoyed reading books and spending time with her children, grandkids and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Jody Held (Joey Pitts) and Sherri (Craig) Kaiser, and son, Todd Bastman, all of Stratford. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Vicky Bastman, Samantha (Cody) Bauer, Bridget Bastman, Tyler Bastman, Kyle Kaiser, Emalie (Dylan) Myszka, and Mitchell Kaiser and great grandchildren, Adeline Harrison, Wyatt, Nora and Aiden Bauer, and Ellsie Myszka. Also from Stratford, Bryan Schmidt, whom she often thought of as part of the family.
She is further survived by siblings, Janet Chapman, Loren (Sharon) Vander Kooi, Karen (Bob) Lowery, Larry (Jeanie) Vander Kooi, Terry (Sara) Vander Kooi, Pamela Green, David Vander Kooi, Doris Vander Kooi, Betsy (Darrel) Foley. Sister in Laws; Jeri (Ron) Brandl and Rhonda (Eric) Graff. Along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, In-Laws, husband, Arlyn, brothers; Bill, Charles and Dennis Vander Kooi, Sister-In-Laws; Martha Vander Kooi and Kalene Thevenot.
