Kathleen D. LaSee, 78, of Arpin, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the Waterford in Wisconsin Rapids.

The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home (1010 E. Veterans Pkwy. in Marshfield). Deacon Ray Draeger will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Hewitt at a later date.

Kathi was born on July 19, 1946, in Marshfield, Wisconsin, to the late Elmer William Lutz and Betty June Hazel. She graduated from Marshfield Columbus High School in 1964 and achieved her medical transcription certificate from St. Joseph’s Hospital.

She was united in marriage to Guy Peter LaSee on July 3, 1965, in Marshfield. They lived in Milwaukee for two years before returning to the Marshfield area.

Kathi worked as a medical transcriber her whole life, and she loved spending time with her family. She and Guy spent many weekends camping with family and friends in locations near and far: Lake Arbutus, the Mississippi River, South Dakota, Colorado, and in later years, southern Texas. Fishing and house boating were favorite activities with her husband and family.

She loved to read and spend many a happy hour contently curled up with a good book and a sleeping cat; and was an avid fan of both the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. She also enjoyed to go for long walks.

Kathi loved to spend time with her grandsons, and kept up with their many adventures.

She is survived by her children, Parry LaSee, and Kari (Jack) LaSee-Wilke both of Arpin; three grandsons, Hunter Trace, and Tristan; one sister, Kay; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Guy; and her parents, Elmer and Betty.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Heartland Hospice for their care of Kathi.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clark County Humane Society.
