Obituary for Kathy Feirer

Kathleen R. Feirer, 73 passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at Marshfield Medical Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Marshfield, where the visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time. Rev. Daniel Thelen will officiate. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Kathleen was born on September 4, 1949 in Marshfield, to John and Monica (Mayer) Carlson. She was a 1967 graduate of Auburndale High School. She was united in marriage to Michael J. Feirer on October 4, 1969 at St. John’s Catholic Church.

Kathy had been employed at Marshfield Clinic for 30 years.

Family was always first for Kathy. She loved traveling, particularly with family and visiting with family. Visits were always too short and goodbyes emotionally bittersweet. Kathy had a love for BINGO and was a member of the American Legion Post 54 Auxiliary. Kathy loved children and had been a childcare provider for over 40 years.

Kathy is survived by her husband of almost 53 years, Mike and their sons, Shawn (Peggy) Feirer of St. Francis and Shane (Denise Woods) Feirer of Hopland, CA. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Lauren Feirer, Olivia Feirer, Colton Feirer Jamie Feirer, Sage Feirer, and Sofia Feirer. She is further survived by her brothers and sisters, John (Judy) Carlson of Arpin, Jim Carlson of Pittsville, Ron (Kathy) Carlson of Pittsville, Gary (Cathy) Carlson of Auburndale, Dave (Sue) Carlson of Marshfield, Bob (Rosie) Carlson of Arpin, Ed (Lois) Carlson of Marshfield, Caroline (Kenny) Wunrow of Marshfield, Jenny (Pat) Halpin of Loyal, Bonnie (Lyle) Ress of Marshfield, Tammy Carlson (Ron Rizzi) of Spencer and Scott Carlson of Spencer.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents John and Monica Carlson and siblings Bertha Carlson, Lillian Bredl and Shirley Tobin.
