Obituary for Ken Hill

Kenneth E. Hill, 78, Chili, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield with Rev. Keith Kitzhaber officiating. The visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday and from 10:00 am until service time on Tuesday at Rembs Funeral Home. The service will be streamed online at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Burial will be in Yolo Cemetery, Chili, Wisconsin.

Kenneth Edward Hill was born on February 18, 1944 in Marshfield, to Glenn and Marcella (Gessert) Hill and attended Auburndale schools.

He married Lucinda Rae Pankratz on January 8, 1966 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Auburndale. She sadly passed on November 28, 1969.

Kenny then married Carolyn A. Marek on December 5, 1970 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Spencer. They were married for almost 52 years.

He was employed at Kohler Co. of Sheboygan and other miscellaneous jobs until becoming an equipment operator at Michels Pipeline out of Brownsville, Wisconsin. He worked there for 30 years until his retirement.

Kenny loved to lend a helping hand to everybody however he could. He especially loved helping his friends on their “Purple” racecars at Yellow River Speedway every Saturday night. He enjoyed watching Nascar cheering for Bill Elliott & Kasey Kahne and booing for everyone else. He enjoyed camping with family and friends. He enjoyed watching the Packers play and snowmobiling with Carol. They were members of the Bakerville Snorovers Snowmobile Club for over 40 years. And of course, spending time with the grandkids and great grandkids.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn and children, Joseph (Stephanie) Hill, Lori (Scott Rueth) Hill and Heather (Troy) Butterbrodt. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Kylie (Brandon) DeSmet, Katrina (Scott) Roth, Becca (Bobby Jungwirth) Kellner, Rayden Kellner, Kameron Kellner, Shae (Dustyn Watson) Kellner, Nathan Butterbrodt and Georgia Butterbrodt and 3 great grandchildren, Laney, Lexi, and Lincoln Roth and the fourth Ivory Watson expected in January. He is further survived by siblings, Eugene (Nancy) Hill, Mary Hunter, Anne Krueger, Diane (David) McGovern, Sue (Ron) Brun, and brother-in-law John Brewer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Lucinda Rae Hill, a brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Janice Hill, a sister Bonnie Brewer.
