Linda A. Dosch, 74, of Marshfield, WI, formerly of Mountain Iron, MN, died on February 29, 2024, at The House of the Dove, Hospice, Marshfield. She was diagnosed at the Marshfield Clinic in June 2022, with metastatic breast cancer.
Linda was born in Park Falls, WI in 1949, to Alton F. and Irene (Altman) Jonas. She moved to Winton, MN in 1952, Babbitt, MN in 1956, and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1967. She attended Vermillion Junior College from 1967-1969, and graduated from St. Cloud State University with a B.S. in speech science, pathology and audiology in 1972. She married James Dosch from Babbitt in 1972. She was a speech and language clinician employed by Midrange Special Education Cooperative for the public schools in Hibbing and Chisholm, MN. She received an M.S. in Education with a major in Special Education from Bemidji State University in 1988. She taught early childhood special education for the Mt. Iron Buhl, MN school district until she retired in 2010. She moved to Marshfield, WI in 2013 after her husband was diagnosed with ALS, and spent much of her free time volunteering for hospice, Women Living with Hope cancer group, the Knights of Columbus, YMCA, St. Vincent de Paul, and the ALS Association.
Linda is survived by her two sons, Dr. Kyle (Lisa) Dosch of Coeur d’Alene, ID and Dr. Adam Dosch of Leon, IA, two sisters, Janis (John) Cole of Park Falls, WI, and Mary (Todd) Esala of Babbitt, MN, sister-in-law, Marilyn Tervola of Superior, WI, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
The family extends a very special thanks to her neighbors for all their caring and support, Pat A., Lynn A., Judy K., Jane and Pete B., and Jean and Ron A., and the all staff at House of the Dove Hospice House.
