Obituary for Lloyd Robert Horn

Lloyd R. Horn, age 87, of Greenwood passed away on May 14, 2020 at Three Oaks Health Services in Marshfield.

Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Forest Hill Cemetery in the Town of Warner.

Lloyd was born on November 9, 1932 in the Town of Longwood to Henry B. and Mary H. (Woepse) Horn. He graduated from Greenwood High School in the Class of 1950. Lloyd worked on the family farm northwest of Greenwood until entering service with the U.S. Army on January 5, 1954; he was stationed in Germany. He was honorably discharged on December 8, 1955 and returned to farming in Greenwood. On July 18, 1959, he was united in marriage to Jane Baker. Lloyd and Jane remained in Greenwood raising two daughters.

He was a member of Greenwood Immanuel United Church of Christ and a member of the Greenwood American Legion volunteering as long as he was able.

Lloyd is survived by his daughters, Crystal (Daniel) Trunkel of Willard and Patricia (Rodney) Nachreiner of Mauston; his granddaughters, Alexandria (Cole) Beenken of Mauston and Mackenzie Nachreiner of LaCrosse; his great-grandchildren, Bode Beenken and Presley Beenken of Mauston.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane in 2012; his parents, Henry and Mary; his brothers, Donald and Jerome and his sister Laverne Vollrath.
